As shown in the figure below ECESS is constituted by a General Assembly (GA) and three colleges

  • College for 'modules and systems',
  • College for 'language resources',
  • College for 'tools'.

Each ECESS institution is member of the GA. The GA elects a coordinator, excepts/excludes members, creates/deletes colleges. The coordinator prepares contracts, takes car of the web, organizes scientific events and calls for a meeting of GA. The coordinator is supported by selected members especially to take care of the web and organize scientific events. Each member of ECESS has to be at least in one college. Each college elects a college manager, set up specifications, set up procedures for evaluation/validation and exchange. The college manager coordinates the activities and reports on GA.

Organisation of ECESS

Currently the college 'Modules and Systems' has elaborated the specifications, procedures for evaluation/validation and exchange for modules and systems in detail. The specifications and procedures for evaluation are described in the section 'ECESS Synthesis Systems'. Concerning the exchange procedures following rules have been established:

    Duties
Each partner has to deliver at least 2 modules, which have to be evaluated. One module has to be in UK-English. Optionally a partner can deliver one or more systems. Evaluated has to be performed as specified by the college.

    Rights
A partner has access to the positive evaluated modules as soon he delivers a module which is positively evaluated due to the vote of the partners of the college. Providers of positive evaluated systems have access to the positive evaluated systems.
